If you’d told Blue that he was destined for more than mopping the floor of Smolik’s Dungeon and tending to the sloths, he’d have told you to fuck off.

Or, rather, if he’d heard you over the blare of his headphones, he’d have mimed it.

Not many coveted the life of a mophead, to be sure. But being a mophead in the world’s most revered metal venue? Unbeatable.

So, it was no surprise that Blue ignored the red-eyed phantom’s return and her chosen-one blah-de-blah.

He had his mentor’s favour, a pretty girl he loved and a room with a view.

Besides Goliath, life was perfect.

If only he’d declined Smolik’s road-trip and stayed in bed with Gemima.

Maybe then Blue’d still be mopping floors in the world’s greatest venue, instead of standing in its ruin.
